Each entry states what its numbers are and where they come from (for example: one 48 x 40 x 30 in pallet, 500 lb, class 70, dock to dock, no extra services).

Always a range, never one amount. On lanes we price directly, the range runs from the cheapest to the third-cheapest carrier at our price (carrier rate plus our fee), from live carrier quotes re-priced about every four weeks; on some other lanes it is a "typically" range estimated from the lanes we price. Each page's instant quote prices the visitor's own freight.

## Agent Tools (WebMCP)

Pages on this site register tools on `document.modelContext` (WebMCP), so an AI agent in a
browser that implements it can call them directly instead of reading a number off the page.
The quote tool prices the shipment actually being discussed and returns a link the user can
book from. The rates on our truckload lane pages (/about/services/service-areas/{origin}/{destination})
are cached estimates priced for a representative full truckload.

LTL is priced from live carrier rates; partial and truckload from our automated rate engine. Needs an origin and destination (US ZIP, or city + state) and each item's per-unit weight; LTL additionally needs each item's dimensions or freight class. A rated quote returns the rate, a reference number, and a booking link; an underspecified one returns a question instead.
