Freight RFP Made Simple

Upload your lanes, get competitive carrier rates. Run a freight bid event in hours, not weeks.

When to run an RFP (and when not to)

What to include in your submission

The completeness of your RFP directly affects how accurate and competitive carrier responses are. Some details go in your lane file (per-row), others go in the submission form (per-RFP).

In your lane file (per row)

Origin & destination
City + state at minimum, ZIP codes preferred. Lane density is a major rate driver — "Texas → Florida" is too vague for sharp pricing.
Equipment type
Van, flatbed, reefer, or specialized. Browse all equipment types if you're not sure which fits your cargo.
Annual loads per lane
Use the Annual Loads column in our template. Carriers price differently for guaranteed volume vs spot — a 100-load lane gets sharper pricing than a one-off.
Special requirements
Accessorials (liftgate, residential, inside, appointment) go in the Accessorials column. Plus hazmat, freight class for LTL lanes, and dock notes.

In the submission form (per RFP)

Award structure
Single award per lane, primary + backup, or routing-guide waterfall. Pick one in the form — affects how carriers bid the whole event.
Contract term
Spot, quarterly, or annual — set via the RFP Type dropdown. Longer terms can unlock better rates if your volume is predictable.

Freight RFP FAQs

Quick answers to what shippers ask most before submitting an RFP.

There's no hard cap. Most shippers submit between 10 and several hundred lanes per event. If your file exceeds 1,000 lanes we may break it into batches for cleaner carrier feedback, but the submission itself accepts whatever you upload.
