How many boxes fit on a pallet?
150 cartons at 15 × 11 × 9 inches: how many pallets is that? The free pallet calculator works it out and draws every pallet in 3D.
Also on YouTube.
What the pallet calculator works out
Enter your box size, weight and count, and the pallet calculator packs them onto a pallet the way a careful dock would: it tries both box orientations and mixed layouts to fit the most on each layer, with no overhang. It starts at the standard 48 × 40 in pallet, 72 in tall and 2,500 lbs, pallet included, and you can change any of those to match your carrier.
You get boxes per layer, layers per pallet, how many pallets you need and which limit split the load, with every pallet drawn in 3D. It also gives each pallet's gross weight and dimensions, the cube and linear feet, and a density-based freight class estimate.
The count never assumes more than fits, so it's safe to quote from. Free, and no account needed.
The cartons in this video are an example. The freight class is a density estimate; the actual NMFC class depends on the commodity.
