Inside Delivery
General
Moving freight past the curb or dock — through a doorway and into the building.
Detailed Explanation
Standard LTL delivery ends at the trailer, or at the ground if a liftgate is used. Inside delivery is a separate accessorial covering movement past the threshold, and what it includes varies widely: some carriers stop at the first ground-level doorway, garage, or carport, and most exclude unpacking, assembly, and packaging removal outright. At a residence, a few carriers sell a threshold or white-glove product; others will not go past the curb at any price. Confirm what a specific carrier's inside service actually covers before booking it.
