Residential Delivery
General
Delivery to a location that is zoned as residential, including home-based businesses.
Detailed Explanation
Residential deliveries almost always require a liftgate and often a smaller truck, because standard tractor-trailers cannot navigate residential streets. The service is curbside — it does not include moving freight past the curb, which is inside delivery and a separate charge again. Published carrier minimums for residential pickup or delivery ranged from about $75 to $225 per end across the tariffs we reviewed, and several carriers apply the charge separately at pickup and at delivery.
